Acer Aspire Switch 11 Review

Acer-Aspire-Switch-10One of the latest to arrive tablets is Acer’s Aspire Switch 11; The Switch 11 comes with pre-installed Windows 8.1 and is available starting at £379. Let’s see the review of it.

Design and Build:

The Switch 11 is similar as the previous version of Switch 10 and it uses the same magnetic Snap Hinge, so you can easily detach the tablet completely from the keyboard dock and use it as tablet and laptop. The Aspire Switch 11 screen size is 1.5 inch greater than the Switch 10, which measures 11 mm thick and a hefty 838 g as a tablet alone, when you add the keyboard it measures 28.4 mm and 1.6 kg.The Aspire Switch 11 is heavy to lift but the tablet does feel solid and looks nice with metal cover on the rear. Experience the same as Switch 10 in 11 by the keyboard and trackpad.

Hardware and performance:

The Switch 11 has an 11.6in screen but the Switch 10 is 10.1inch display, it available in two models one has 1366 x 768 resolution and the another one is Full HD 1920 x 1080. Don’t worry about the unwanted scratches because the display is protected by the Gorilla Glass and enjoy the viewing it in good angles with IPS display. It also enhanced with the touch screen and the Active Pen stylus as optional. If you prefer the Switch 11 with the lower resolution screen, which is powered by the Intel Atom processor with 2 GB RAM. However, our Full HD model came with an Intel Core i3 (4012Y) 1.5 GHz dual-core chip and double the RAM.

Both offers the full-size USB port on the dock, the tablet has 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, a microSDXC card slot, handy micro-HDMI port, 2Mp front facing webcam and front facing stereo speakers.

The Acer Aspire Switch 11 really great to use as a tablet as well as a laptop.
