Lenovo’s K Note series smartphones have been quite popular in the mid-range users. And the company’s latest smartphone, the K8 Note, is a big step up from its predecessor, the K6 Note. With prices at Rs 12,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant and Rs 13,999 for the 4GB/64GB option, the smartphone brings some more improvements to the table. It will be available to buy exclusively via Amazon India. Design wise, there aren’t any big changes to the K8 Note, compared to last year’s K6 Note.

The front is dominated by the 5.5-inch full-HD display, with the earpiece, sensors, front-camera and LED flash placed above that. Below the display, you have the dedicated Android navigation keys for home, back and task switcher.

Turn to the back and you have the dual-camera setup with dual-LED flash and a fingerprint sensor sitting below it. The 3.5mm audio jack sits on the top, whereas the microUSB port for charging and data transfers is at the bottom. On the right, you have the volume rocker and a power / sleep button, whereas on the left, you have a dedicated micro SD card slot and a dual Nano-SIM card tray. This is a good move as you don’t have to choose between the second SIM and expandable storage.

The only customizations Lenovo has added to the smartphone are custom icons, TheaterMax VR and Dolby Atmos. There is a pre-installed application; you get the Microsoft app suite which includes Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Skype, One Drive and OneNote.
